SounDirector Telephone Adapter
This is the perfect cord to connect your telephone to a SounDirector amplifier, or directly to your Cochlear Implant Processor. Designed with two isolation capacitors, this cord helps to reduce the risk of line spikes commonly found in hardwired telephone handset systems. The Cochlear implant cord length can be specified up to 36". This design places the connection joint in the spring coiled portion of the cord to eliminate stress and extend the life of the adapter, allowing Audex to offer a full one year limited warranty.

Helpful Hints There seems to be a great deal of confusion about the jacks used with
different ALD's. To the left are the most common types. On the far left is a mono-l/4" plug,
often called a phono plug. The next plug is an RCA type. The third is a stereo 3.5mm or 1/8"
plug. The fourth is the 2.5mm or 1/16" stereo plug. The 1/4", 2.5mm and 3.5mm are all available
in both mono and stereo configurations. The RCA is always a mono plug. Mono can be distinguished
from stereo by the number of rings on the shaft. Two rings, common to lightweight headphones,
is stereo. One ring, common to microphone plugs, is mono. A mono plug in a stereo jack may
damage the unit being used since one side of the jack is shorted on the mono shaft. A stereo
plug in a mono jack may not cause damage, but may not function properly since only one side
is connected. Always try to match the plug to the jack. Standard USA configuration is mono
for microphones and stereo for headphones. RCA is commonly used for line level audio inputs
